This sterling silver spider ring I made for the fun of it. The top is about 1 inch long with a 3D feel to it. The ring is a stock size 7, but easily adjusted to your size.
For many Native American tribes, spiders were important in mythology, though typically not to represent evil. Instead, these myths usually emphasized other characteristics of the spider, such as their creative abilities and their extreme cunning. Spiders are very popular in African folklore. They are usually very tricky but they almost always end up getting caught and learning a valuable lesson. One popular spider is Asnansi. The best known is a Greek myth about Arachne. She was a wonderful spinner of threads. As the myth goes, the Greek goddess Athena was very jealous of Arachne. Arachne bragged that she was a much more talented weaver than Athena, and challenged the goddess to a weaving contest. Arachne was quite arrogant and again insulted the goddess by weaving pictures that made the gods (titans) look bad. Athena became so angry that she turned Arachne into a spider and forced her to live the rest of her life weaving webs.

Yes I do, and usually it's 1-2 months to do depending on the time of the year and if I already have orders on my plate. I do try to keep you up to date on the progress and send photos. So ask away! Also note I don't take custom orders during the holiday season due to work overload!

The stock items I make are made in solid metal, either sterling silver or antique bronze. The sterling silver, or .925 silver as some know it as, is 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper which is the classic sterling silver. No rhodium or nickle plating touches my stuff! The antique bronze is the classic bronze that the bronze age was named for. It contains 90% copper and 10% tin. I also offer to make jewellery in stainless steel or gold on special order and are made to order only.
Sadly no. The cost of sterling silver and bronze chains would end up raising the price of my jewellery, so in stead I sell them separately on my shop section for chains and engraving.
The antique bronze is the classic bronze that the bronze age was named for. It contains 90% copper and 10% tin. The bronze can turn your skin green due to the oxidization caused by the copper to the salt and sweat of your skin, but can be easily rectified with either clear enamel or the classic clear nail polish trick! As for cleaning, use liquid silver cleaner and a jewellers polishing cloth to make it shiny and new again.
I use Canada Post for all my shipping, and the prices are based on those from Canada Post. I rather not use courier companies because they charge the buyer a brokerage fee and that sucks all around! If you would rather use them, let me know and I'll create a custom listing for you.
